Empowered Women, Empowering Communities, and Why Connection Matters
Please join us to learn more about:
- The work of The Domestic Violence Shelter and the critical role it plays in rebuilding lives.
- The unique challenges women face and how empowerment can break cycles of abuse or hardship.
- The power of women supporting women and how, together, we can build a more compassionate and empowered future.
Meet Our Speaker:
Colleen Rice is a passionate advocate for women's empowerment and a dedicated leader in the fight against domestic violence. Through her work with The Domestic Violence Shelter, Colleen has been instrumental in creating programs that offer survivors not just safety, but also the tools they need to rebuild their lives with confidence and dignity.
With deep insight into the unique challenges women face, Colleen understands the complex barriers survivors encounter, from overcoming trauma to breaking cycles of abuse and hardship. She believes that empowerment is a powerful foundation for change—one that transforms survivors from a place of survival to a space of thriving.
A firm believer in the power of connection and community, Colleen emphasizes the importance of women supporting women. She advocates for building networks of compassion and resilience, inspiring others to uplift and mentor those in need. Her vision is clear: a future where empowered women create ripples of positive change, touching families, neighborhoods, and society as a whole.
Colleen’s voice is a call to action, urging everyone to take part in fostering empowerment, whether by volunteering, donating, mentoring, or simply standing in solidarity with survivors. Her message is one of hope, strength, and the incredible power of connection—a reminder that together, we can build a more compassionate and empowered world.
