Small Business Saturday is always the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
Fees/Admission
There is no fee to participate as a vendor for Small Business Saturday, however businesses are required to submit a $25 (or more) prize for the drawing.
Description
What is it?
· Small Business Saturday is the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
· It's a national program that encourages people to include small businesses in their holiday shopping.
· Locally, we are joining together to promote small businesses county-wide (Chamber membership is not required to participate)
· Some local businesses report that this is the busiest day of the year for them!
How the programs works:
- Register for the program online or by contacting the Chamber
- Shoppers simply visit your store to enter into your prize drawing
- The Chamber will provide you with entry forms that can be printed or copied (or you can make your own).
- Collect the entry forms on Small Business Saturday at your business.
- At the close of business on SBS, select your winner and notify them.
- When the winner collects your prize, we suggest you post a picture on your social media sites and tag the Richland Area Chamber. This will give your business additional exposure on social media!
- As always, shoppers will not be required to make a purchase.
- There is no cost for your business to participate, but please provide a prize worth $25 or more which can be an item(s) or a gift card
There will also be five(5) $100 grand prizes donated by the Chamber and other sponsors.
- These prizes can be won when customers scan a QR code at your store and register to win.
- The Chamber will provide you a flyer to hang that provides the QR code and gives easy instructions to your customers.
- The Chamber will notify the winners of the grand prizes and distribute them.
No Reason Not to Participate!
Collectively we spend thousands of dollars (from the support of our sponsors) to promote Small Business Saturday in our community. We also receive thousands of dollars of in-kind support from our media partners. All that for the price of a $25 (or more) prize donation! Please register by November 13.
This event is being held in conjunction with Downtown Mansfield, The Shelby Area Business Group, Be Focal Buy Local Richland County, and the Clear Fork Valley Chamber of Commerce.
