Please note: Shop Small - Richland County will take place one week before the national date to better support local businesses and avoid conflicts with the OSU vs. Michigan football game.
Fees/Admission
There is no fee to participate as a vendor in Shop Small - Richland County, however businesses are required to provide a $25 (or more) prize for the drawing.
Description
What is Shop Small – Richland County?
• Shop Small (Small Business Saturday) is a national movement encouraging shoppers to support locally owned businesses during the holiday season.
• Richland County’s Shop Small celebration will take place on Saturday, November 22, 2025 (one week before the national date), to help capture shopping dollars before Black Friday and boost local participation.
• Chamber membership is not required to participate. ALL locally owned small businesses are welcome.
Many participants report this program as one of their busiest and most successful shopping days of the year.
How the Program Works
1. Register your business online using this form.
2. Host your own prize drawing on November 22. The Chamber will provide printable entry forms (or you may create your own).
3. Encourage shoppers to enter your drawing while visiting your store — no purchase necessary.
4. Select and notify your winner at the end of the day. Share a winner photo on social media and tag the Richland Area Chamber to boost your visibility!
5. Provide a prize valued at $25 or more (item, gift card, or local experience).
Countywide Grand Prize Drawings
In addition to store-level prizes, the Chamber will sponsor five (5) $100 countywide grand prizes.
• Shoppers can scan a QR code at your business to register to win.
• The Chamber will provide your flyer with the QR code and instructions.
• The Chamber will select and notify the winners directly.
Why Participate?
With the help of sponsors and media partners, the Chamber invests thousands of dollars each year to promote Shop Small - Richland County across multiple platforms.
For the cost of a $25 prize, your business gains community-wide exposure and attracts new local customers.
Register by November 10, 2025.
Fees/Admission
There is no cost to participate. Businesses are asked to provide a prize valued at $25 or more for their individual drawing.
