Rock -n- Ribs is Back! As part of the 40th Anniversary celebration of North Central State College, Rock -n- Ribs will take center stage on Friday, July 17th and Saturday, July 18th. The two-day event will showcase performers from local bands, Motown and two rock and roll greats. Opening the two nights of entertainment is ENCORE, a local band that will rock your ribs, even though the oldest band member is only sixteen years old. On Friday, opening for Night Ranger is Touch, a classic Motown group. The main act, Night Ranger. Hits are "Sister Christian", "Sentimental Street", "When you Close Your Eyes", "(You Can Still) Rock ,n America" and "Don't Tell Me You Love Me". A local band, Roughcut, will warm up the stage, and the crowd. Roughcut plays a wide variety of country and rock and roll from a number of artists - as well as a few songs of their own. On Saturday, opening for Lou Gramm is Mini KISS. Saturday's headliner is Lou Gramm of Foreigner. With hits "It Feels Like the First Time". "Jukebox Hero" and "Hot Blooded". In addition to two full nights of entertainment, teams of rib cookers from across the Unites States will be cooking ribs in an effort to win "Best Ribs", "Best Sauce" and "People's Choice" awards.
