Native Plant Sale

Richland Soil and Water Conservation District is hosting a Native Plant Sale with Natives in Harmony. Order Deadline: June 5, 2020 Pick up: June 10, 2020 at Malabar Farm State Park from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. in conjunction with Family Fun Fest* (see Family Fun Fest details below). Malabar Farm State Park is located at 4050 Bromfield Rd., Lucas, OH Cost: $3 per plug. This is not an endorsement. All sales final with no guarantee of survival. *Family Fun Fest is a family-friendly event, open to the public and free, with the exception of food trucks. People will self-pay for food/drinks. In addition to the activities that will be part of Family Fun Fest, people can visit the farm animals, kids can play on the playground equipment and visitors can take a walk on the many scenic, hiking trails at Malabar Farm. Attendees have the chance to learn about natural resources, the environment, conservation, agriculture, nature and wildlife through fun and educational activities and programs. There will be a monarch butterfly and pollinator talk/walk, native plant pick up (for people who pre-ordered plants), and Boy Scout Bake Sale. Children will enjoy hands-on activities and face painting. Plus, meet Mila, an ODNR Wildlife Division K-9 dog and her person, Nathan and practice archery. Adults and children will have the opportunity to try their hand at archery. You'll use a bow and arrow to hit a target.
