Take an active role in monitoring water quality by becoming a Lake Monitor Volunteer, part of the Watershed Investigator program, with the Richland Soil and Water Conservation District. Volunteers collect water data at Clear Fork Reservoir, Charles Mill and Pleasant Hill Lakes and report their results on the District website. This volunteer activity allows you to help monitor water quality while enjoying our lakes and reservoir. Lake Monitor Training will be held Saturday, April 8, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Charles Mill Lake Maintenance Building. Training and equipment are provided through the continued partnership with Ohio Lake Management Society-Citizen Lake Awareness and Monitoring (OLMS-CLAM). Access to the internet is required. This is a great citizen scientist opportunity. To volunteer and register for the training, please go to http://richlandswcd.net/get-involved/volunteer-opportunities, call 419-747-8685 or email sutter.theresa@richlandswcd.net. The Richland Soil and Water Conservation District develops, implements and assists landowners, government agencies and our partners with a wide range of natural resource conservation programs. Programs and assistance of the Richland Soil and Water Conservation District are available without regard to race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, age, national origin, ancestry, disability or veteran status.
