Imagination District
In October 2019, the Chamber brought you a unique groundbreaking event: the demolition of the Rainbow Mortgage building to make way for the development of the Imagination District.  Through a $6 million capital campaign launched jointly by the Renaissance Performing Arts Association and the Little Buckeye Children's Museum, the Imagination District will transform a derelict section of downtown Mansfield into an educational, cultural and economic hub. When we last visited with them, they were looking to wrap up their campaign within the next six to eight months - and then the pandemic upended all plans. But the Imagination District Steering Committee never gave up, and in fact continued to receive significant private contributions throughout the 2020. And, in December 2020, after more than a year of hard work and strategic communications, they received notice of an $1 million grant as part of the State Capitol Appropriation budget!
