On Thursday April 16th at 1pm, the Richland Area Chamber and Economic Development will be hosting the 3rd episode of our Digital Academy. This is an effort to keep in touch with our local businesses by providing information and resources during this time of rapid change and adaptation.
This specific event will be focused in providing information to employers regarding resources to help their employees during this time such as unemployment, social service programs, social/emotional support, and general well being. We know that our employers are all over the place, some with people employed and working, some who have had to layoff, some employed but not working. And many employers are worried about their employees in the short-term but also longer term, will they return when the business opens up again? We will have a conversation with you to help employers think through what they might be able to do during this time to help their employees and stay connected so that when things start up again, they are still ready to come back.
Our featured guests will include:
Steve Cummins, Vice President, Mansfield Engineered Components, speaking on Shared Work Program and communication with employees during this time.
Teresa Alt, Executive Director, Richland County Youth and Family Council, speaking on resources available through Jobs and Family Services and Unemployment.
Rebecca Owens, Regional Director, Catholic Charities Diocese of Toledo, speaking on retention efforts through providing support resources to employees.
