SUMMARY:Young Entrepreneurs Academy 2023 Investor Panel
DESCRIPTION:Student entrepreneurs will take the stage at the North Central State College Kehoe Center in Shelby to present their business plans before a panel of local business leaders and a public audience.\n\n \n\nFour students in grades 8 through 12 from the Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA! Richland) will have five minutes to pitch their business plans to prominent local members of the business community\, during the program's annual YEA! Investor Panel Event. The students are: \n\n\n	Ryan Carver\, R.C. Lawn Care   Offering the gold standard in lawn care services\n\n	\n		10th grade\, Shelby High School\n	\n	\n	Soren Fox\, Taste Protein   Dedicated to the improvement and quality of people's personal fitness and nutrition through great-tasting protein bars\n	\n		10th grade\, Ashland High School\n	\n	\n	Olie Francis\, Olie's Outlook   Providing people with unique and meaningful art\, while empowering them to be their authentic selves.\n	\n		12th Grade\, Pioneer Career and Technology Center\n	\n	\n	Josiah Walsh\, Deathrow Airsoft   Offers an unmatched adventure close to home by providing airsoft gear\, courses\, and events.\n	\n		8th Grade\, Mansfield Christian School \n	\n	\n\nBased on the appeal and merit of the students' plans and presentations\, representatives from Alumni Roofing\, KeyBank\, Mechanics Bank\, Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center\, Park National Bank\, Richland Source/Source Brand Solutions\, and Spherion Mid Ohio will determine the amount of funds to allocate to each business.\n\n \n\nThe participating investors will also select the one business that will advance to the Young Entrepreneurs Academy Saunders Scholars National College Scholarship competition\, where they will compete for cash awards and hundreds of thousands of dollars in college scholarships.\n\n \n\nThe event is free and open to the public. Registration is encouraged. A reception and networking will take place at 5 p.m.\, and the pitch presentations begin at 5:30 p.m.\n\n\n\nInterviews with young entrepreneurs or members of the judging panel can be arranged.\n\n \n\nThe emcee for the evening will be Drew Steensland\, Owner of Moto Re-cycling and 2017 YEA! Alumnus.\n\n \n\nSince the 2015-2016 school year\, 54 students have graduated from YEA! Richland and launched 52 businesses with $34\,655 invested from local sponsors.
