SUMMARY:Women's Leadership Connection - Servant Leadership in Government and Public Service
DESCRIPTION:This series\, designed especially with women in mind\, is being hosted by the Richland Area Chamber & Economic Development. Each month\, we gather for a time of powerful networking\, a motivational "TED-type" talk\, as well as a chance to learn more about our community. \n\nThis series is especially important for our women members because it empowers them with practical tools\, confidence\, and perspective to lead effectively at work and in the community. It also fosters connection among women professionals\, reminding them that their voices\, experiences\, and leadership styles matter and that growth is strongest when it's shared. We look forward to having you join us!\n\n\n\nServant Leadership in Government and Public Service\n\nLeadership takes many forms\, but the most effective leaders never lose sight of the people they serve.\n\nJoin us for an inspiring luncheon with State Representative Marilyn John as she shares her journey through public service from serving as Mayor of Shelby and Richland County Commissioner to her current role as Majority Leader in the Ohio House of Representatives. Through stories\, lessons learned\, and firsthand experiences\, Representative John will explore the principles of servant leadership\, the value of listening to constituents\, and the importance of giving back to the communities we call home.\n\nWhether you're a business leader\, community volunteer\, elected official\, or simply passionate about making a difference\, you'll leave with valuable insights on leadership\, service\, and the impact one person can have on their community.\n\nMeet our speaker:\n\n\n\nState Representative Marilyn John is serving her third term in the Ohio House of Representatives\, representing Ohio's 76th House District\, which includes all of Richland County.\n\nIn the 136th General Assembly\, Representative John serves as Majority Floor Leader as part of the Speaker's leadership team. She also serves on key committees such as Finance\, General Government\, Insurance\, Workforce and Higher Education\, and Rules and Reference.\n\nRepresentative John brings extensive public service experience to the legislature.
