DESCRIPTION:This series\, designed especially with women in mind\, is being hosted by the Richland Area Chamber & Economic Development. Each month\, we gather for a time of powerful networking\, a motivational "TED-type" talk\, as well as a chance to learn more about our community. We look forward to having you join us!\n\n\n\nGrace Under Fire - Balancing Your Heart & Mind in Difficult Situations\n\nWhether it is an unexpected challenge or something we knew was coming\, there is no question that we all face times that seem bigger than us. How do we handle these times with grace\, resilience and empathy? Jodie Perry will be the first to tell you that she doesn't have all the answers\, but she has learned a few things along the way which have served her well in her career and personal life. Join us to be encouraged and gain a refreshed mindset for the difficulties you may be encountering.\n\n\n\nMeet our Speaker:\n\n\n\nMayor Jodie Perry\n\nJodie A. Perry is the 71st Mayor for the City of Mansfield\, Ohio after taking office in January 2024. Mansfield is the 23rd largest city in Ohio with nearly 47\,000 residents. Mayor Perry has identified economic development\, infrastructure\, and public safety as her top 3 priorities. \n\nPrior to this she led the Richland Area Chamber & Economic Development in Mansfield  for nearly 10 years. In that role she was responsible for leading the county-wide economic\, community and workforce development efforts.         \n\nPreviously\, she led the Greece (NY) and Van Wert (OH) Area Chambers of Commerce and also served on staff at the Ashland (OH) Area Chamber of Commerce.  She also worked as the Deputy Chief Clerk for the US Senate Banking Committee.  Jodie received her Bachelor of Arts from Ashland University in Ashland\, Ohio.        \n\nJodie is actively involved in the community and has served in several volunteer leadership positions. She is a Past President of the Rotary Club of Mansfield\, and received the 2019 ATHENA Award for Richland County. The importance of business was instilled at a young age as she grew up in a family of entrepreneurs in Rochester\, NY.\n\n\n\nSpecial thanks to Alumni Roofing for sponsoring this event!
