DESCRIPTION:On Monday\, November 30\, people near Richland Center can learn about tremendously rewarding opportunities to help people with serious and life-limiting illnesses in this area. A volunteer- recruitment open house is being held by Agrace\, a nonprofit\, community-supported hospice and palliative care agency. The open house will be held at the Richland Center Community Center\, 1050 North Orange Street\, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.\, on the 30th. Agrace works with patients throughout southern Wisconsin and will begin serving patients in Richland Center and eastern Richland County in the first quarter of 2016. Agrace is hiring skilled\, caring clinicians from Richland County to help bring Agrace?s quality\, compassionate care to Richland Center and surrounding communities in the coming year. ?We?re also looking for great volunteers who would like to help provide companionship and other assistance to people struggling with the challenges of serious illness in Richland County\,? said Laura Komjathy\, Richland County volunteer coordinator for Agrace. ?Volunteers play a key role in complementing the care provided by Agrace?s professional staff.? Open house attendees can learn about the services Agrace provides and hear from current volunteers as well as from Beth Delgrave\, an Agrace Registered Nurse from Richland Center. Registration is not required\, and there is no obligation to commit. Volunteer opportunities are available for people aged 14 and older. Agrace has provided end-of-life care and related services to patients and their families throughout southern Wisconsin for 37 years.
