DESCRIPTION:A workshop for small businesses that wish to explore selling off the business or its assets\, or transferring ownership to the next generation or others. This workshop is coordinated by the Braintree Business Development Center\, our area's non-profit business incubation and entrepreneurship center.  Our facilitators are Jack Stewart\, Attorney and CPA and Ed Klesack\, Registered Financial Consultant\n\n\n\nThe workshop will address:\n\n\n	\n	Is your business transferable?\n	\n	\n	Who will be your buyer or the next generation of owners?\n	\n	\n	What is the valuation of your business?\n	\n	\n	What resources are available for family businesses?\n	\n	\n	What are the legal and tax consequences you should be aware of?\n	\n	\n	What timetable makes sense for succession planning?\n	\n\n\n \n\nThis workshop will be of interest to business and financial consultants\, bankers and economic development professionals\, as well as those interested in purchasing businesses.\n \n\n\n\n________________________________\n\n \n\nThere is no cost for this workshop.  But we do need to know ahead of time that you will be there.
