SUMMARY:BOSS - Business Owners Sharing Solutions - Beyond Start Up: Secrets to Growing Your Business
DESCRIPTION:The Chamber is excited to be launching a new event to help equip and connect business owners and managers.  The program is called BOSS (Business Owners Sharing Solutions).  Each quarter we will pick a topic that is important to small business owners and managers.  There will be a different speaker or panel of speakers for each topic.\n\n\n\nPanelists for "Beyond Start Up: Secrets to Growing Your Business"\n\n\n\n\n\nJulie McCready is a life long resident of Richland County\, and she and husband Tom own  McCready Interiors/ Norwalk The Furniture Idea\, a 22 year family business that is part of the McCready Family?s 94 year furniture history. She is a residential and commercial designer and manages a team of five designers at McCreadys. Julie graduated from The Ohio State University with a BA degree in education and a MA in child psychology and was an educator in the Lexington School District for 20 years. She continues her passion for teaching as Norwalk Furniture?s Training Specialist and her love of language as a contributing writer for Heart of Ohio Magazine. Focused on giving back to her community\, Julie has served as trustee on the board of the Richland County Foundation\, and will become Chairwoman in 2019. She has two sons Graham and Gabe\, enjoys living in Ohio and being inspired by the World.\n\n\n\n\n\nDave Shealy is the founder and principal of The Shealy Group\, establishing his business in 2001. Throughout his career he has evolved into a trusted consultant and advisor for his clients.  He has had the opportunity to work with very successful entrepreneurs and their advisors for which his focus has been on strategic planning\, identifying and resolving operational inefficiencies\, revenue cycle enhancement\, establishing a strong link between the company and their finances and succession planning.\n\nDave is a graduate of The Ohio State University and has been a presenter at various continuing education classes for many different CPA state societies.  He is a member of the AICPA consulting\, tax and healthcare consulting divisions as well various national and state accounting and consulting associations.  Dave is an avid Buckeye fan and enjoys golfing and spending time with his grandchildren. \n\n\n\n\n\nDeLee Powell is a lifelong resident of Richland County\, graduating from Mansfield Senior High School and going directly into the family business\, now Baker?s Collision\, Glass and Service Centers.  She has twin sons Charlie and Chris\, a daughter Kimberly and five grandchildren.\n\n During her career she was a consultant and educator\, training over 400 of the top performing collision repair facilities in the United States. Currently she is President of her family business. DeLee is a Mansfield Rotarian and is the current President.  A Salvation Army Advisory Board member\, a member of the Automotive Service Association (ASA)\, National Autobody Council\,  Vice Chair of the Area Action Council for the National Federation of Independent Businesses (NFIB)\, and  a supporter of the Richland County United Way\, as well as  other organizations.
