DESCRIPTION:OSU Mansfield's Pearl Conard Gallery will sponsor the exhibition\,\n''New China/New Americana\,'' from January 10-February 4.\n	The exhibition will include the works of two artists\, Andrew Edwards and Ming Zhou.\n	Edwards\, an artist from New York City\, likes to create highly realized visions—significant detail with altered perspectives.  He works mainly in multi-colored acrylic and sometimes in pencil.\n	Zhou\, of Cambridge\, Massachusetts\, considers his work a critique of China's new middle class.  The artist feels China's new middle class blindly mimics things from the West as an expression of ''good taste.''  He exaggerates color contrasts and saturation to make the elements of the paintings look cheap\, unclassy and mismatched.\n	A catered opening will be held January 10 (Mon.) from noon-2:30 p.m.  The exhibition is free and open to the public.  Gallery hours are 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.\, Monday through Friday.
