In addition to promoting sound economic and legal policy\, Buckeye brings prominent cases to advance freedom in courts across the country. Robert personally argued last month in the Ohio Supreme Court that it is unlawful for local governments to tax the income of commuters who didn'\;t commute. In his free time\, you can find Robert climbing the tallest mountains on each of the seven continents\, most recently in Antarctica.

\nJerry is from Zanesville\, Ohio\, and currently resides in Marietta\, Ohio. \; He earned his Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from Marietta College in 1980 where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. \; Jerry has served as President of the Ohio Oil and Gas Association (OOGA) and previously served as chairman of the Ohio Oil and Gas Energy Education Program (OOGEEP). \; He is a Registered Professional Engineer in Ohio\, Kentucky\, West Virginia\, and Pennsylvania. \; Jerry is also a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers as well as the Society of Petroleum Evaluation Engineers.

\nJerry has served as President of Artex Oil Company since 1995. \; Prior to assuming his current role\, he held positions with various major oil companies in Texas\, Louisiana\, and Wyoming. Jerry is also a founder and an active volunteer of Shale Crescent USA.

\nMatt McQuade is Managing Principal of McQuade Economic Growth Advisors\, an economic development consulting firm launched in 2022. Previously\, he was Managing Director of Business Development for One Columbus for 12 years\, where he was responsible for the organization?s domestic business development strategy. At One Columbus\, McQuade had the opportunity to lead numerous business attraction efforts including Intel\, Amgen\, Amazon Web Services\, and Google Cloud. Prior to One Columbus\, McQuade served in various economic development roles for the State of Ohio.
\nMcQuade will discuss how the Columbus Region transformed itself from a community known in the early 2000s for punching below its weight to gaining international attention by winning one of the largest capital investment and job creating projects in U.S. history.
